Fokdan's collaboration process contains another level of artistic collaboration due to the involvement of Arabic (Christians and Muslim) and Jewish artists dealing with the issue of the Palestinians loss of land. My collaborative sounds included western and middle eastern timbres combining the Syrian bozouki, saxophone, soprano singer, piano and a part of Um-Cultum singing اغدا القاك جز.
This unique several art forms and artists collaborating together, help us in building a unique composition involving and engaging us all together. In April 2009 Fokdan's first performance took place in Ramallah's Contemporary Dance Festival. Fokdan's success led to another performances in Mahmoud Darwish Cultural Center in Nazarethat and in Haifa at Al Madina Theatre.
Thank you Shaden Abu-Elassal (dancer), Raji Bathish (poet), Tamer Massalha (video artist) and Hisham Suliman (actor) for an amazing project.
Special thanks to Jeries Ballan for playing the bouzouki and taking part in the project.
